Marijuana – just one time

My client, Ajay, a 30, works in advertising. He has been very depressed and disturbed for couple of years. He takes a vodka shot every night to get some sleep. I insist on having no alcohol the day before the QHHT session. He can’t let go of it even for a day.

Five years ago a school friend got him a “packet”. He could not remember anything that followed after he consumed marijuana on that fateful day. His memory was totally wiped out about the sequence of the event that led to his smoking. Except that he remembered feeling disturbed and heavy since then. He has been under psychiatric treatment.

He wanted to discover what happened that day. He was curious to see if he could recover the memory of that incident and heal from the heaviness he felt all the time.

I knew he would be able to discover the details of the missing event in the trance once he learned to relax. So we went ahead.

Ajay descended into that very day on 2013. It was Janmasthami. He woke up in the morning looking for the “stuff” his friend had left behind. He found it in his closet. He rolled it carefully and smoked. After a while he felt very uneasy. He went out for a walk and called his friend who got him the stuff. He came back home and asked another friend to help him out and take him to the hospital, but the friend asked him to go back to sleep.

One by one everything kept coming back. He realized that when he puffed marijuana he got a panic attack- because that was an auspicious day of Janmasthami. He felt he had made a BIG blunder. That made him feel like a sinner. It was Lord Krishna’s day, celebrated as a sacred event. His folks worshipped the lord and somewhere instilled very strong values of right and wrong. “Paapi hoon mein” echoed from within!

His belief system could not excuse his behavior. He needed to punish himself. And hence it took form of panic attack, of course unconsciously.

I told him the Lord was present during the session and could see Him standing. Ajay did not doubt. Later when he woke up he told me that he saw Lord Krishna in the room and he knelt before him. He received a deep blessing in his heart – so much love and acceptance! That moment he felt the Lord had forgiven him for his “wrong-doing” and it was okay. Also made him understand that it was time for him to let go and not punish himself any more. He could unchain himself from misery.

Lot of people ask me, “So they get completely over with a wrong habit?”

Well, the session makes them become lighter and gives them a choice. I also reiterate that when you don’t have a very strong will power and determination to bring change from within, then at least choose an environment that would support your new way of life. And bring them to list those choices.

Misuse of Power #Metoo

Did I have a #Metoo moment in the Corporate HR world? Yes! If you call someone hitting on you persistently to tempt you with a “fat deal”, then the answer is yes!

I felt a deep shame that some of these people were from my “Obrah” (Oriya Brahmin/extended) community! They felt their brazen act outside of the state was okay. It’s extremely disgusting when you see these big-time so called HR honchos “suggesting” directly or in a clandestine manner.

I ask myself why am I saying this on social media? What do I gain?

The reason is: being a mother/an aunt to the younger generation how do I contribute to understand what is character and how we can reform!

Certainly these men, despite their outward success felt inadequate. They lacked something for which they needed to be secretly gratified. They may have been made to feel small and hence powerless- not good about themselves! So at the slightest opportunity they were ready to misuse their power, in order to feel powerful again.

So it all comes down to understanding our personal power- and the use and misuse of it.

I also happened to experience the contrast. While I was going through a really bad phase in my life, living alone, emotionally lost and vulnerable, I met this man from my “Obrah” community. After dinner he dropped me home, hugged me and kissed me on my forehead and left.

He used his power. And used it wisely. A sense of control over yourself- that is true power. That discrimination makes you a man, a human. Otherwise you are equal to an animal.

As responsible human beings we always have a choice to act or react to use our voice. And hence I’m using mine.

I’m completely with each one of you who has been a victim of #Metoo. I hope there’s more transparency in making these “deals” in the future.

But I have decided to take this stand. Over the years I have worked at having compassion for myself and I have, to a large extend, forgiven those who acted like predators. I will not to bring myself down to expose them.

Sadly, you can’t run away from yourself! Today they are all scared and taking pills to suppress their stress anyway. It takes courage to do the right thing. And to do the right thing is not always easy. But it pays in the long run.

Losing a Loved One

My neighbour, Gurpreet (name changed) was devastated when she lost her father. He had not been keeping well. She was travelling at that time, wrapping up quickly to get back home to be with him. But he passed away the day before she arrived. She was shattered and guilt ridden. She felt she couldn’t do enough to take care of him and missed him terribly.

Gurpreet had created a lot of turbulence in her family she said, when she decided to marry outside of her Sikh community. Her father went through a very difficult time because of her decision. He had to leave the jointly held business and start another business all over again. However with time her family gradually came to terms and accepted her husband. But nothing had prepared her to let go of her dad without at least a proper goodbye.

It’s been 5 years and she still had not resolved and closed this chapter. When she heard about my QHHT work she asked me if she would be able to meet and talk to her father’s soul. I said yes, if he was willing he would communicate with her. Sometimes the higher self also says, no, the soul cannot come but is sending love. Yet when the time is right “they”(souls from the other side) make the session materialize! It’s like orchestrating from the other side. Perhaps that is what happened.

During her session Gurpreet took a long journey through different past life times. When we came to the higher-self part, I asked if she could communicate with her father’s soul. They said, “Yes, he is here, waiting!”

“Okay, let them meet and when they are done, let me know.” I said.

There was silence, and tears and smiles…

Later when she woke up she said that they both hugged each other. She asked him why he left when she was away. He said he couldn’t have left if she was still around, and it was his moment to go. So he had to find a time when she was not there. Then he kissed her forehead, smiled and said, Don’t forget to take care of my wife!”

She had no words to say. Hugged me tight and left.
